pear installation

I run apache 1.3.14 with PHP 4.3.3 on my win98 machine. When trying to install PEAR by running go-pear.bat I got the following warning: <snip> **************************************************************************** ** WARNING! The include_path defined in the currently used php.ini does not contain the PEAR PHP directory you just specified: <C:\apache\php-4.3.3-Win32\pear> If the specified directory is also not in the include_path used by your scripts, you will have problems getting any PEAR packages working. Current include path : .;c:\php4\pear Configured directory : C:\apache\php-4.3.3-Win32\pear Currently used php.ini (guess) : Press Enter to continue: </snip> It seems it can't find my php.ini file (which do contain C:\apache\php-4.3.3-Win32\pear in the include path!). Why? What am I supposed to do? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks Markus
