/www/php/bin/pear should be what you're looking for. Be sure to execute it as root. But anyways - afaik RedHat still packages quite old PEAR-versions. So simply execute a: lynx -source http://go-pear.org/ | php and install PEAR again on-top over whatever you currently have. Worked on a RedHat-box that I needed to get up-to-date.
