Hmm I dont remember what exactly happend during the last discussions. It does seem that the package is rather orphaned, but its used on pearweb afaik. So its good to get it fixed up. Removing the package from the main index is another topic (of course no package will ever be removed after it has had a first stable release). However nobody should commit to other peoples packages unless you get permission to do so. I have CC'ed Stig.
