Hi Folks:
I just realized that when Helgi changed pearweb's bug interface to use
the new package_name column instead of the bug_type to store package
names, he didn't change peclweb's interface, which uses bug_type for
the package name.
Then, he started reusing the bug_type column to distinguish "Bug" vs
"Feature/Change Requests."
So, now we have a mess.
The quick fix is search/replace all files in the peclweb to change
"bug_type" to "package_name." Once that's done, update the database,
because reports added/updated since Helgi's change have their package
names in the bug_type field.
Another possiblity, or long term plan, for the peclweb folks is to
port the pearweb bug system over to peclweb. Helgi and I have
significantly cleaned up and enhanced PEAR's bug system and these
changes can benefit PECL developers and users.
