Hi again,
The PEAR installer works for very basic packages now. Check out the
latest CVS, build and install the CGI version and try the following:
$ pear http://no.php.net/~ssb/DB-1.0.phkg
The output should be something like this:
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/common.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/storage.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/ibase.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/msql.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/mssql.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/mysql.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/oci8.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/odbc.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/pgsql.php
installed /usr/local/lib/php/DB/sybase.php
The phkg file is just a tar.gz file (any better extension names? :-).
Download it manually and take a look at package.xml to see the package
definition format.
