I haven't been able to monitor this list for the last days. But I'd like to say that there's at least me who would be more than happy about having a pecl extension at hand to speed things up! I'm already using PEAR_Delegator very much. It's a really great tool, but like you mention, it's a bit too slow to use it for basic design ideas. Having this as a pecl ext would be really great.
