Wez, That was a bit strong I don't think you can call my mail RANTING I had one line wondering why a binary cant be released at the same time as the linux / unix modules are. And asking me to go away is just nasty! I have read all your mails and tried to do what you have said. I am not a newcomer to this and do know what I am doing, it simply will not function. You can even see that I am trying to compile the thing myself, so I am trying to help myself also. I have explained it throws up a Start UP error, this is common I thought and did not need explanation, however on windows an alert box is shown simply saying "PHP Startup: Unable to load the dynamic library C:\PHP\ext\php_mailparse,dll - the specified module could not be found" Now I have had this before when certain DLLS are not also placed in the SYSTEM32 directory, I have checked on dependency walker what mailparse.dll needs, it needs mbstring which loads fine by itself. So I assume I do not need any other DLLS in the system 32 directory that I may be missing. >From your link I can see that you are part of the development team of mailparse. I congratulate your work and just hope I can get it to work. We can't read your mind, and don't have spy cameras pointed at your screen, so we don't know what error message you are seeing. I suggest that you re-read the replies that I made to your email, and if that still isn't clear, try reading this article http://netevil.org/node.php?nid=39 (hint: by the PDF from php|a). Ranting about poor support for win32 in PHP isn't going to win you any friends; I've personally spent many hours improving the situation. Now, help yourself to help yourself or kindly go away. --Wez. > -----Original Message----- > From: Ian Warner [mailto:iwarner@triangle-solutions.com] > Sent: 21 May 2004 11:05 > To: pecl-dev@lists.php.net > Subject: [PECL-DEV] Despertae need for working MailParse Binary PHP 5 > > Why do PHP / Developers ignore the windows users when they create the > extensions, I have been looking for ages for this binary and > don't know what > to do. > > I have even tried to compile on my windows machine using DEV > C++ environment > but it says I am missing php.h file and loads of other errors. > > So if someone has a binary that works on php 5 then let me > know please, or a > good link to learn how to compile these bloody things on > windows to get them > to work would be great. > > I have downloaded from the PHP downloads an unstable release > of mailparse, > when I add this to my php.ini file it throws up a start up error. > > I have mbstring and mailparse both enabled but it will not work. > > Any help appreciated this is an urgent request > > Cheers > > Ian > > -- > PECL development discussion Mailing List (http://pecl.php.net/) > To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php > >
