I have developed a fork of the php-yaml extension originally written by Ryusuke Sekiyama (rsky). This is a wrapper for the LibYAML library which is a YAML 1.1 implementation sponsored by the Python Software Foundation. I'd like to have this module considered for inclusion in PECL. The extension currently provides these functions: * yaml_parse — Parse a YAML stream * yaml_parse_file — Parse a YAML stream from a file * yaml_parse_url — Parse a Yaml stream from a URL * yaml_emit — Returns the YAML representation of a value * yaml_emit_file — Send the YAML representation of a value to a file License info: * LibYAML is MIT licensed * extension is MIT licensed URLs: * LibYAML: http://pyyaml.org/wiki/LibYAML * php-yaml: http://code.google.com/p/php-yaml/ * docs: http://php-yaml.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/docs/index.html * install: http://code.google.com/p/php-yaml/wiki/InstallingWithPecl The test suite implements tests from the YAML 1.1 spec and yaml.kwiki.org as well as a few of my own. I have also created PHP manual compatible documentation for the module. The documentation needs more work, but I think it provides a good start on proper documentation. I'm currently considering the module to be alpha quality because it's hasn't received wide spread testing and I have only attempted to build it on the Ubuntu platform. This project has been sponsored by my employer, Keynetics Inc. It is in production use in several of our products and will be maintained at least for bug fixes for the indefinite future. I believe that inclusion in PECL would provide a wider audience for the extension and greater chance of motivating me and others to continue to develop enhanced features. -- Bryan Davis https://www.ohloh.net/accounts/bd808 http://www.linkedin.com/in/casadebender
