That's first sentence is one LONG run on. Also, starting with "besides" isn't great. Good grammar says make your points, not side points.
I strongly suggest using some variation of the wording I put forth in my last email. The paragraph is trying to make two points. Separating them into distinct sentences will be easier to grasp.
If you insist on this wording, at least put in a comma between "free usage" and "the projects."What do PEAR/PECL offer me? Both projects offer you well maintained and QA-ed packages. PEAR provides PHP packages and classes and PECL offers C extensions for your PHP installation. Beside this we offer a common and stable packaging system for PHP components: The PEAR installer. The installer is able to manage PHP files, as well as C extensions. Better? -- Tobias Schlitt GPG Key: 0xA6529579 a passion for php http://www.schlitt.info
