php_krb5 co-maintain request

Hello, I'm a sys-admin and php-developer for the Mars Space Flight Facility at Arizona State University. I'm interested in helping co-maintain the krb5 (http://pecl.php.net/package/krb5) package. Its current maintainer has published relativly complete code on his website (http://mbechler.eenterphace.org/php_krb5-1.0rc2.tar.bz2), and I would like to help in getting it included in the PHP-Pecl package list. I think that the inclusion in the PHP-Pecl packages would be a great resource for people looking to utilize their existing authentication systems with PHP applications.
