Re: php_krb5 co-maintain request

I'm a sys-admin and php-developer for the Mars Space Flight Facility at Arizona State University. I'm interested in helping co-maintain the krb5 (http://pecl.php.net/package/krb5) package. Its current maintainer has published relativly complete code on his website (http://mbechler.eenterphace.org/php_krb5-1.0rc2.tar.bz2), and I would like to help in getting it included in the PHP-Pecl package list. I think that the inclusion in the PHP-Pecl packages would be a great resource for people looking to utilize their existing authentication systems with PHP applications. I've written a Drupal module that utilizes this plugin (http://drupal.org/sandbox/npiacentine/1132296); and it would be best that users obtain the krb5 PHP module from a trusted source like PECL rather than linking to a personal webpage.

That would be me. I was planning to do that for a really long time. I also have some patches for a new release. I would really appreciate some help but I assume I should pack that stuff together and put it at least into SVN first to prevent chaos.
