As it turned, the library doesn't really imply a Windows platform. Of course, it is possible with cygwin, or mingw, for instance. But I can't find a way to compile it for a generic Windows platform. Actually there is no specific makefile or so for Windows in the libeio CVS repo. Furthermore, the libeio's author, Marc Lehmann, confirmed in our conversation that he doesn't find it possible to support a generic Windows platform in the case of libeio: === As such "windows support" is imho not possible without requiring a specific windows platform (e.g. "requires php built with mingw"). I'd recommend looking for which php windows port is the "definitive" port (if there is any), and porting your extension to that one. === Thus, I need to postpone Windows support for the extension. I believe, it isn't really needed on Windows, since the main purpose of libeio itself is to provide UNIX/Linux-specific async *POSIX* calls. Nevertheless, it should be possible to install both libeio and php with it's upcoming libeio extension under cygwin. However, I'd really like to aquire the PECL account. Please, tell what should I provide for this further. ----- Regards, Ruslan Osmanov Blog: http://osmanov-dev-notes.blogspot.com/ Twitter: @ruslan_osmanov -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/I-want-to-publish-my-PHP-Extension-in-PECL-tp32587991p32604624.html Sent from the Pecl - Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
