Using the standard process to build, I get this set of errors during make: ld: -ldl: no match collect2: ld returned 1 exit status *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/source/php4-200011030845 (line 23 of /usr/source/php4-200011030845/ build/program.mk). *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/source/php4-200011030845 (line 37 of /usr/source/php4-200011030845/ build/rules.mk). Here are the steps that I took to do the build (please let me know if you would like any additional information like config.cache, etc...): ./configure make LDFLAGS="-ldl" I will try again without setting LDFLAGS... why? Well, because a thousand monkeys typing for a thousand years, might eventually be able to make something compile :) Here is my system information: OpenBSD 2.7 Autoconf version 2.13 GNU automake 1.4 GNU libtool 1.3.5 (1.385.2.206 2000/05/27 11:12:27) GNU Bison version 1.27 flex version 2.5.4 --zakSnapshots come with all files included. There is no need to run buildconf, just run configure as with a PHP release. If that does not work currently, let me know and I'll check it.- Sascha
