Interesting - after running:
./configure --with-apxs --with-mysql --enable-dbase --enable-ftp --with-gettext --enable-calendar
make
I get the following error:
ld: stub.lo: read_file_symbols(header): premature EOF

build/library.mk).

Stop in /usr/source/php4-200011030845 (line 37 of /usr/source/php4-200011030845/
build/rules.mk).
I will try to find out what config option (or options) is causing this.
