You're supposed to ADD --with-imap-ssl to your configure line, not
replace it with anything.
Did you check config.log ? The check for SSL support is not bullet-proof,
it can fail in some other circumstances too. Hmm..any good ideas for
better error text there? As well as for kerberos check..
