Perhap Daniel, Phil, James or one of the other gents who
have a dab hand with Windows could give you advice if
you encounter troubles?

AFAIK M$'s Visual C++ product is the compiler to use.
However, Chris Newbill recently posted a message about
Borland offering their compiler for free -- this might work.
