Same here... I think that I am going to not going to work on actively trying to test RCs (or at least not on as many *@$#* platforms) until I have a better grip on the basic skills needed to build and install.
Unfortunately I´ve received no feedback on my backtraces, thus I had no progress on the original problems which forced me to make debug builds... I think as far as Daniels "showstopper" has been fixed I´ll be able to trace my problems...
OTOH I´ve encountered no grave problems beside that with 4.0.2 on win32
