The problem is that there are active changes going on during this QA process. We need to talk to the core team about a feature freeze. It is impossible to test a release candidate when we have no feature freeze - what compiles for me now may not compile in 5 minutes after someone commits a change to the CVS. I can help with build process - I have some scripts, and I can write some more to do build testing etc under *nix.... -brendan ----- Brendan W. McAdams | ph. I think that I am going to not going to work on actively trying to test RCs (or at least not on as many *@$#* platforms) until I have a better grip on the basic skills needed to build and install. I think that I am more useful when I am trying to organize the qa team, performing bug sweeps and working on systems for the qa team. > however, I've been watching the lists for problems. > >It strikes me that for the Windows release, the problems reported by >Daniel Beulshausen regarding the fact that, on Windows, php doesn't seem >to be looking in the correct place for the php.ini file is a showstopper - >it effectively breaks everyone's installation. > >I don't know if anyone else has come across anything they feel ought to be >fixed before a release, but I suppose its down to us QA people to generate >a list, and then either fix the problems ourselves, or alert someone who can.
