Ok, we need to resolve this file extension thing.
The reason I originally had .php3 on the list was precisely because common
things like PHPMyAdmin use them.
Zeev emailed me off list to tell me that .php3 was now deprecated and should
be labelled as such.
I think that we should NOT introduce any new extensions such as .php4, but
for convenience, perhaps the old ones should be on the list as follows:
.php <=the only one ticked by default)
.phtml (now deprecated)
.php3 (now deprecated)
preceded by some wording which reads:
.php is the official file extension for php files. You are encouraged to use
this extension for new work. If you have existing php files which use other
file extensions, you can select them in the list below.
