Now that you say it, I've read it myself (PHP-SOAP = PECL::SOAP) :)
So it is not possible to use persistant objects with PEAR::SOAP at the moment - will it be implemented in future releases?
I've tried the setOpt method:
$client =& $wsdl->getProxy();
$client->setOpt('curl', CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 30);
but it had no effect, still I get an "Invalid_HTTP_Response" SOAP_Fault. However, setting the $timeout=30 in /Transport/HTTP.php works.

That slide is about PECL::soap.In Shane's Presentation (http://talks.php.net/show/soap-phpcon-ny2003/66) he uses a function "$server->setPersistence(SOAP_PERSISTENCE_SESSION)" to make the object persistant through the whole session, but this function does not exist in the current implementation anymore.We'll have to wait for shane's return on that one.I'm back :) Shane
