No. I'd rather see new extensions distributed independently, for example through PEAR, than changing the existing framework. IMHO, once the PEAR infrastructure is up, we should become much more strict about accepting new extensions in the distribution. The more extensions we bundle, the more of a release management nightmare we make for ourselves. - Stig
