Hi, I think you misunderstand. I did not compile the apache sapi. So by all rights, I should not be getting the php_java.jar. I used ./configure with the "--servlet=/opt/tomcat" option to get the servlet sapi. The difference between the two is significant since one builds as a module for apache, the other builds as a servlet, which will ride in as part of the tomcat servlet interface. I'm sorry, but I will not be able to help you with this java portion, my current development is rather heavily involved with servlet. And since the servlet sapi has failed, I will be likely to turn to the CGI sapi to get php support for the server running. In which case, I will probably be working with the php.ini file that you are listing here, but until then... I'm focusing on other matters at the moment...
