I don't have such problems. I'm using Debian
checking if compiler supports -R... (cached) no
checking if compiler supports -Wl,-rpath,... (cached) yes
checking if compiler supports -rdynamic... yes
checking if compiler supports -rdynamic really... yes
Is there some RPM missing with SuSe?
