Hi,
First, the permissions on TSRM were messed up - it's ok now. Use cvs -d
:pserver:username@cvs.zend.com:/repository co TSRM to check it out.
Right now TSRM compiles under Win32 and UNIX with POSIX threads.
Stig - is it possible to integrate it to the building process of PHP,
selectively? I.e., only if --enable-thread-safety is specified or
something?
Also, in to avoid opening a gap between UNIX and Win32 as far as thread
safety goes (right now they're equally supported, at least at the engine
level) - it'd be cool if we could implement --enable-thread-safety all the
way:
1. It would compile and link TSRM.
2. It would generate and compile the C++ scanner instead of the C one.
I've added a rule to generate zend-scanner.cc to the Makefile.am, but I
have no idea how to selectively compile it instead of the C one, and use
g++ for the job.
3. Specify -DZTS through the command line of all the compiler calls.
That definitely falls in Stig's area of expertise. Stig? :)
