Hello List,
I just joined this list having downloaded PHP4Beta3 - but unfortunately the compilation
of this Beta fails just as well as the previous Betas ....
Here's the scoop:
configure'ing the package was straightforward after a little tweaking in the script (I had
to add "-ltiff -lz" to the pdflib-tests to make it go through)
./configure --enable-versioning --with-config-file-path=/home/apache
--enable-safe-mode --enable-track-vars --enable-magic-quotes
--with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --with-gd --with-ttf
--enable-freetype-4bit-antialias-hack --with-gettext --with-mysql --with-pdflib --with-snmp
--enable-sysvsem --enable-sysvshm --with-zlib --enable-thread-safety --with-tiff-dir=/usr
but then the make fails:

This happens on a system running Slackware-4.0 with kernel 2.2.10 and another
one running Slackware-7.0 with kernel 2.2.13
