DreamWeaver CS3 is now able to be a compiler as well. Works pretty good except I have to use more steps than I want to from what I was reading with PHP5. This is one of the reason why I downloaded it from your website. I am more use to ASP.Net but our company is moving forward with flash and php. I was given the ptask to find an open source application for php other than using the CS3 app's we have. Seeing that CS3 cost us $3000.00 and its use is great but time consuming. -----Original Message----- From: Hannes Magnusson [mailto:hannes.magnusson@gmail.com] Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2008 4:38 PM To: Richard Tomblin Cc: php-webmaster@lists.php.net Subject: Re: [PHP-WEBMASTER] Windows MSI Installer Good. Thanks. However: > HMMMM... I am starting to think of going back to DreamWeaver because a > developer does not know how to verify by doing the install themself! This is confusing. DreamWeaver is an IDE. PHP is a programming language... The PHP windows installer installs the "PHP compiler" and configures your webserver. See http://no.php.net/whatisphp and http://no.php.net/manual/en/install.windows.php#install.windows.installer.ms i for more information. -Hannes On Thu, May 22, 2008 at 10:29 PM, Richard Tomblin <rtomblin@hughes.net> wrote: > http://bugs.php.net/?id=45061&edit=2 > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Hannes Magnusson [mailto:hannes.magnusson@gmail.com] > Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2008 4:22 PM > To: Richard Tomblin > Cc: php-webmaster@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: [PHP-WEBMASTER] Windows MSI Installer > > 2008/5/22 Richard Tomblin <rtomblin@hughes.net>: >> To whom it may concern, >> >> >> >> When trying to install php onto my windows system, the MSI installer > package >> is trying to edit the httpd.conf file.
