Well, what do you mean by a "standard error page"? Are you getting a
file-not-found error? Or do you see the source code of the file? Or do you
see some other error message? Need more specifics.

If you followed the instructions on php.net, then you've used the best
method. These instructions work in most cases.

There are several DLLs that you MUST copy into your windows/system directory
(for Win98) or winnt/system32 directory (WinNT/2K) - php4ts.dll and
msvcrt.dll (if not already present). It is also recommended (as several
installation types require this) that you put a single copy of php.ini in
your windows (or winnt) directory - and don't have another copy in your
installed php directory. There should ONLY be one copy of php.ini on your
computer - this helps to alleviate "which php.ini is it reading" problems.
Now, do you have BOTH an f:\winnt\system32 directory AND a c:\windows\system
directory on the same machine? I guess that got me confused.
Clarification?

On winnt/2k, open a command prompt window and go to the directory where your
php scripts reside and type...
c:\php\php.exe myscript.php
Same for "DOS Prompt" under win98. Of course the first part of the line
depends on where you installed the php executable :)
