No it's a just one insert on a small table (about 30 rows). But that is server-side... Displaying the input form doesn't take much time. After submitting: - insert takes 15 seconds with netscape. IE less 1 second. - select takes 3 seconds with netscape. IE less 1 second. Strange that server-side scripting depends on client software. Has someone noticed this before? What is the > solution? Does your response after doing the insert contain a LARGE amount of data formatted in a table? I have a feeling that this is NOT the insert which takes longer (as that's server-side), but the display of the resulting page (if it contains a large table with alot of link tags). A long page with big tables will ALWAYS take longer in Netscape... This is just a matter of how Netscape displays HTML vs. IE. Netscape 1) waits for all table contents to download BEFORE displaying any information and 2) does some extra processing for hyperlinks within displayed document, which IE does not do. -- Andy Hoffman Web Developer Bristol-Myers Squibb office: LVL G1.2607 email: andy.hoffman@bms.com phone: 609-252-5788
