Hi there > Even after reading some of the previous threads regarding this issue, I'm > still having problems enabling the gd (and other) dll extensions in the > php.ini file. > > I am running Win98, PHP4.0.0, Zend v0.98 and Apache 1.3.12 (win32) and I > have downloaded the dlls from > http://download.swwwing.com/php4/modules/ I'm using Win98 and MS Personal webserver and had the same problems but with PHP_MSQL2.DLL and PHP version 3. It couldn't seem to find the PHP3.INI file. Eventually I removed the one from the windows directory and forced it to find the INI file in the main PHP directory (where the PHP.EXE file lives). This way there was only ONE of them and I knew which one it was loading. Even though this was for PHP v3, the symptoms of not being able to find the DLLs are similar and the changes simple and reversable, so they may be of use. Here's what I did: 1) Add "set PHPRC=C:\apps\php" to the autoexec.bat Tells it where to find the configuration files 2) In the web server scriptmap - defines the program to be run to handle various extensions (eg one for .PHP one for .PHP3 ) instead of C:\APPS\PHP\PHP.EXE %s %s I've added the command line option to explicitly tell it where the configuration files are, so the command line now reads C:\APPS\PHP\PHP.EXE -c c:\apps\php %s %s Probably only one of these is necessary, my guess is the second one, but I as it works I haven't bothered to find out.
