Are you aware of the bugs found here: http://bugs.php.net/search.php?cmd=display&status=Open&phpver=4&bug_type=Apache2+related&by=Any There are some reports about 'php_value' not working when used in httpd.conf With apache 1.3.x you can set the register_globals on/off like this from httpd.conf: php_value register_globals 0 (I guess you knew this? :) --Jani
