} you are wrong: the limit for LONG is 2GB in 7.x, 8.0.x and
} 8.1.x
Whoops....I was asking our DBAs about LOBs, and had an off day, mixing
characters [~bytes] with gigs... [2 gig is the limit for long, as you
state [which is more than 2000 characters :) ] and 4 gig is the limit for
LOBs].
Guess I didn't get enough caffeine yesterday, eh? :)
