My platform is Solaris.

It does not seem that way. In my tests I have gotten good performance and
AOLServer doesn't seem to choke the system like Apache does at around 150
processes. As far as Apache 2.0 is concerned, I have considered it, but I
haven't investigated it too heavily because I need something reliable...the
version currently under development is bound to have bugs that haven't been
fixed and features that haven't been released. I'd prefer to stick with a
stable, proven release.
