"Complex tasks require complex code" That is basically true, if you are not interested in code maintainability. The more complex code is, the less maintainable it becomes. In the context of large-scale systems, you should especially be interested in improving the maintainability of code. The complexity of the implementation is a key aspect of the maintainability of large systems. I hope that you understand my earlier "Urgh" message now. I am concerned about the maintainability of PHP and its modules. -- Regards, Sascha Schumann Consultant
