At the moment I am reading company email from home, using a
broken terminal emulation and crossing two firewalls. Please
excuse any stupidity because of this. I just found Andrejs
pointer to my coding error in recode, using wrong parameter
counds to zend_get_parameters_ex(). I am not writing to the
parameters, so I guess I should be using the _ex() functions.

I will try that and search my way. The recode_files() function
needs two filehandles for input and output files. Previously, I
was using code like
in_fp = php3_list_find(in_id,&in_type);
if (!in_fp || (in_type!=GLOBAL(le_fp) && in_type!=GLOBAL(le_pp))) {
to search for fopen/popen filehandles and I haven't turned
around to look up how it is being done in the new interpreter,
yet.

Is the above problem in this category or is that part already
considered stable? I hope it is one of the more trivial
applications of the API.
