i've been running the oracle stuff on aix for quite a while
(using gcc).
to link i need
gcc -nostdlibs -lgcc `cat $ORACLE_HOME/libs/sysliblist'
i always had to fiddle around with the makefiles myself:(
question comes down to how do i get the stuff from sysliblist
into our build-system. sascha, i know you don't like it -but-
it seems to be the only way to let oracle decide which
additional libraries they want on a specific platform.
+plus+
we do have to add "-nostdlibs -lgcc" if we're using gcc.
rigt now i have (my local tree)
ext/oci8/config.m4
..
if test -f "$OCI8_DIR/lib/sysliblist"; then
OCI8_SYSLIB="
cat $OCI8_DIR/lib/sysliblist"
elif test -f "$OCI8_DIR/rdbms/lib/sysliblist"; then
OCI8_SYSLIB="cat $OCI8_DIR/rdbms/lib/sysliblist"
fi
if test "$ext_shared" = "yes"; then
OCI8_SHARED_LIBADD="$OCI8_SHARED_LIBADD $OCI8_SYSLIB"
else
PHP_LIBS="$PHP_LIBS $OCI8_SYSLIB"
fi
...
if test "$CC" = "gcc" -a "uname -sv" = "AIX
4"; then
PHP_LDFLAGS="$PHP_LDFLAGS -nostdlib"
PHP_LIBS="$PHP_LIBS -lgcc"
fi
..
am i way off-track?
i _will_ fiddle with this a bit more (i only have AIX 4.2 with
gcc for testing)
my main problem right now is how to stuff into the
final link-line.
