But is there a 'SGMLDECL "path/to/docbook.dcl"' in your catalog
anywhere? That's what's pulling it in on my configuration. I
tried removing it but then things just went screwy again.

Right, there's a site at http://docbook.org/, too. The
August
release date comes from O'Reilly's site.

That's great to know. It doesn't surprise me that Debian got it
right. :) (Have I mentioned how much I hate RPMs yet? It's too bad
everybody loves Red Hat.)
