It's *NOT* deprecated, it's not 'not-recommended', and it's not anything but a simple built-in construct of the language that isn't going anywhere. Zeev At 16:01 11-10-01, James Moore wrote:

deprecated as of PHP 4, and could be deleted in future. Why ? I did and I do an extensive use of this great features to build complex website with website builder like dreamweaver. So I can control each block of html text enclose to php control block. Please, Please, Please, do not disable this major feature. It'so confortable.
Don't worry, it was just a documentation mistake. The alternative syntax is not going to be deprecated. This syntax IS deprecated but its unlikley it will be removed any time soon as there are still people using it, we advise people to use the other more common C like syntax but for the forseable future we will continue to support all documented syntax's. - James -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-dev-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
