You did not ask this forum whether the addition of this function was a good idea or not. You just went ahead and removed it from the documentation. Why is you opinion better than that of 6 people involved in ~30 message discussion? I think that you need to seriously rethink your attitude here. Reverting Derick's patch which resulted in his threat to leave PHP development while you have a CVS account was a very bad move. So was your infamous 'depreciation' of alternative PHP syntax.
