Hi,
I just tried to close this bug report, using the php bug reporting system. The system
wouldn't let me close. Although I had used a password when I submitted the original report,
the
system also wanted a CVS userid from me, which I obviously don't have.
Could you please be so kind as to close the report with the following text.
Thanks in advance. . . Fred
Text follows:
This was a user error. Many thanks to Frank Kromann, for the suggestions on
debugging. They worked. I was able to prove that I was passing the correct
directory through php3 to the rmdir function. Prior to removing the directory,
I had another procedure which chdir'd to the directory, and deleted any files in the
directory, and chdir'd back whence it came. I had not noticed that the chdir back
had failed, and therefore php was sitting on the directory to be deleted.
Only a little thing, but it took me 3 days to find it, but I did learn a lot about PHP internals.
Hope nobody else has wasted any effort.
Best regards. . . Fred
