There might be a problem with both freetype and t1lib support in the future. From www.boutell.com: No Longer Available The gd library has been removed from circulation. We may, at some future date, make a new version available that either (a) does not contain any GIF-related code or (b) is offered only to parties holding a license from Unisys to use the LZW compression algorithm. Naturally, (a) would be a Good Thing, and also free. Parties with appropriate coding skills who are interested in contributing to a truecolor-capable, JPEG-and-PNG-only version of gd should feel free to contribute code. (b) would be a Useful Thing, perhaps, but it would not be free. Please do not send email asking for the gd library. We cannot send it to you. Thank you for your understanding. So, it's maybe time to start thinking about adding support for PNG in PHP. Jouni Ahto
