Sometimes I think I already went nuts.
But what I meant was mostly reading an image from file, whatever format it
is, imposing some text over it, and either writing it back to disk or
sending it to the browser, once again in whatever format is suitable. And
maybe drawing a line or filling an area. But not much more.
I'd just forget both imagemagick and gimp libs, but with netpbm's code
base and libs it might be possible to make something enough small,
lightweight and fast.
Anyway, I don't think there will be anything like this in PHP3 (At least,
if it depends on me to do the coding. I'm not very fast, but I am quite
lazy...). Probably in PHP4, when it goes public and contributors can start
to work on it.
