Yes I think we were stopped too many time. I was studying for my exams, and I couldn't help much. I think now we should vote for a new design. Sincerely, I like Medhi's/Yannicks's design. The current/Goba design is too simple/lightweight... The most important thing now is to have the code in CVS ASAP, so that we can distribute tasks and start working!
The most important thing is to build some solid base on which we can expand. The code in keliglia CVS is very messy, it is even not English at many places... It is not a good idea to just hurry and hack up some stuff, which will not be possible to build on, or we will come to a situation similar to the bugs.php.net codebase, which is very hard to even touch without being afraid that you will eventually break something to small pieces... Having project specific designs, images, etc. is hard to manage. We don't need unmanageable stuff on our shoulders, do we? We are not to provide eyecandy, but to provide working services. To enable us to work on the stuff, we need clean code, and a clean interface. Code that others will understand. Code that follows coding standards. The current code is far from this. IMHO the design created by Yannick and Mehdi is not good, it is even not suitable to be eyecandy. My position in such situations is that it is to have cleaner layouts without much eyecandy than some site on which you see that it was intended to be eyecandy, but it was a failure. The stuff we need now is cleanup, cleanup and cleanup. Goba
