Having project specific designs, images, etc. is hard to manage. We don't need unmanageable stuff on our shoulders, do we? We are not to provide eyecandy, but to provide working services. To enable us to work on the stuff, we need clean code, and a clean interface. Code that others will understand. Code that follows coding standards. The current code is far from this. IMHO the design created by Yannick and Mehdi is not good, it is even not suitable to be eyecandy. My position in such situations is that it is to have cleaner layouts without much eyecandy than some site on which you see that it was intended to be eyecandy, but it was a failure. The stuff we need now is cleanup, cleanup and cleanup.
If the code is so messy, I can drop the whole CVS module and you can start everything from scratch. Get everything you need from CVS and tell me when it's done.
I don't think that dropping out the code is a good idea. It needs cleanup. I have no intention to rewrite the revhcheck stuff to work with sqlite, since you already done it. It just needs to be polished. BTW I seem to be having an updated checkout of the CVS module, so if you desire to drop the CVS module, then it is up to you. I'll try to dig your letter up with the SSH instructions. The docs.keliglia server should be made to update from cvs.php.net -> docweb then, so others with CVS accounts and a desire to join can help. So then I can hand out Karma for those people (Mehdi and Steph requested it so far AFAIR), and we can hopefully move along. Ps. It is not only you, who have problems. I am both in an educational and a financial crisis now. Do not expect me to take everything on my shoulders please. Some of you had reservations about systems people because they were unable to set up a server for us. Now it is not their turn to do something. You can choose to get upset on people if they don't do stuff, but then when you are unable to contribute, it should become obvious that those you were upset with probably had been in a similar or even worse situation. Goba
