Hi everybody
I've been looking for and trying quite a few php code-editors for quite a while now - still haven't encountered anything really good yet.
I've used Homesite 5 for quite some time but it lacks features for editing php scripts in my opinion. Furthermore I've tried Zend Studio which is to slow and non-windows like (Coded in Java perhaps?) and finally I've tried Maguma Studio (v. 1.0.6) which is quite good but the project management feature seems to be faulty.
To sum up:
I'm looking for an editor with:
- Windows interface (using w2k)
- function insight - ability to look up built-in as well as home-made functions and classes (maguma does a good job here!)
- syntax highlighting
- project management
- ability to use built-in webserver og php.exe directly for previewing (maguma quite good here!)
- ability to syncronize with website using ftp (homesite/dreamweaver quite good)
Furthermore it would be nice if the editor supported html, mysql and css as well - but the above mentioned is more important than this!!
Hope to hear what your experiences are!
Cheers,
Tommy Ipsen
