I don't have the URL's but I too have been doing this and found some nice free products.
Search for HAPEDIT (Acronym for HTML, ASP and PHP edit)
PHPEditor
CEdit
DEVPHP
AEXedit
ALl of these work quite nicely

Hi everybody I've been looking for and trying quite a few php code-editors for quite a while now - still haven't encountered anything really good yet. I've used Homesite 5 for quite some time but it lacks features for editing php scripts in my opinion. Furthermore I've tried Zend Studio which is to slow and non-windows like (Coded in Java perhaps?) and finally I've tried Maguma Studio (v. 1.0.6) which is quite good but the project management feature seems to be faulty. To sum up: I'm looking for an editor with: - Windows interface (using w2k) - function insight - ability to look up built-in as well as home-made functions and classes (maguma does a good job here!) - syntax highlighting - project management - ability to use built-in webserver og php.exe directly for previewing (maguma quite good here!) - ability to syncronize with website using ftp (homesite/dreamweaver quite good) Furthermore it would be nice if the editor supported html, mysql and css as well - but the above mentioned is more important than this!! Hope to hear what your experiences are! Cheers, Tommy Ipsen
