I have a form which collects data, and whose action is to call a PHP4 file
to process the data and put most of it in a database. At the bottom of the
PHP4 file I then do another form POST to send the results of the PHP
processing to a remote server for further processing. (Thanks for Robert
Cissell for the code to do this)
Both POSTs use Javascript's submit_form() function.
This all works well, except that the browser puts up two warnings, one for
each post, about sending data over a non-secure session, the standard
dialog we've all seen. One warning is OK, but two are going to be
irritating to users.
What I need is a way to gather variables from a form, do PHP on them, then
forward the post on to wherever it's going.
Something like Javascript's on_submit(), which allows you access to the
variables before they are sent.
Any ideas? They're breathing down my neck to finish this Friday.
