The ISAPI is buggy and temperamental on a windows server. I use .phtml for
the ISAPI module and .php for the CGI version (I just put the whole lot in
my WINNT directory and registered the extension w/ the server). I often
change working code to .phtml just to see what happens and it isn't uncommon
to have it fail using the ISAPI module (make sure to save everything first.
I've had it lock my machine once, Windows 2000 no less which is nearly
bombproof.). On a production server - never, on a strictly in house network
it might be worth a try just to see what breaks it.
