Editplus www.editplus.com Hands down. I've tried a lot of different
editors/sites and I didn't like any of them a fraction as much as I do ep.
built in FTP, included support for numerous languages, downloadable support
for probably another 50+ languages, programmable quick keys (i like this a
lot for compiling then running stuff), and, it's got a small memory
footstamp to boot

Forgive me if this is a bit of a newbie question (or ot) but what would the
best code editor be for PHP?
I use Win2k (stop laughing at the back! ;o) and want something not overly
complex, just something that does the job better than notepad?
tnx for any help.
