I use EditPlus as well. However, for quick-and-ditry HTML templates, I use
Dreamweaver. I usually draw out the design in Photoshop, create the HTML
layout in Dreamweaver, and then use EditPlus to put the PHP in. (It's a
complicated routine, but that way I get the best tool for each job, instead
of trying to meld one tool to do everything.)
As for the poster who mentioned VI... this is something that comes up in
every discussion of good editors. However, being a Win2K user as well, I
find VI to be cumbersome. I much prefer the point-and-click style of
editing. If, however, you prefer the world of text, VI is a good choice. Its
learning curve is steep, but once you learn it, it is a worthwhile ally.
