It would probably make more sense to use a database. That way you can
add/remove time slots as students sign up for them.

Subject: [PHP-GENERAL] programming question
hi all,
I'm writing a small web applicaton for students to use when scheduling
office hours with their professors. Here is my quandary: When I take the
input from the faculty as to their available dates and times for office
hours, I pass that info (in the form of a "dates" array and a "times" array)
to another script which shows the available dates and times in a drop down
list for the students to choose from. How can I save that information
uniquely so that the students can choose a professor's name from a drop down
list and see the dates and times that the professor has keyed in? I don't
want to store this info in a database. Is there a way to associate an ID
number with two separate arrays? Where can I store this info? I haven't
started the project with oop in mind, but maybe that would be the way to go
with this?
thanks for the info,
Maria
